Bishop Timothy Ngcobo of Inkanyezi Church of Christ said that the purpose was to declare South Africa as a country that belongs to black people.
Ngcobo said the country was colonized spiritually by Jan van Riebeeck around 1652 when he came with missionaries.
He said they built their altars in Gauteng, KZN, and Cape Town.
"We here to ensure casting out and building a new altar that belongs to black people. We are saying today all the altars of the white monopoly that were installed during our forefathers. We are destroying them today spiritually."

He said they ensure South Africa is safe from these altars that cause disorder.
"They took our economy from us because these spirits always allowed us to respect them more than what we should have or respected ourselves. We are praying for the spirit of the West to go back to their countries," he said.
Ngcobo said they are praying for Zuma because he promotes the restoration of the country's kingships.
"This is a spiritual cleansing at the Union Buildings where all ungodly laws were made. Zuma is facing danger from other political organisations. All these people want Zuma not to reach 29 May. We are protecting our President spiritually," said Ngcobo.
Bishop Tshepo Mabena of Place of Worship Global Ministries and presiding Bishop of Full Gospel Holy Church RSA said: "We are living in his ideology and vision of what he believes in. We are praying for him as MK leader that true leadership arises through him. Zuma is our Moses of this generation, and he will take us to where this country should be."
Paramount Chief Ndabezitha Ndaba of Mzilikazi kaMashobane kingdom said: "We are giving support to Zuma and MK because they are talking our language of kings and chiefs. They are fixing the wrongs of the past. We want MK to go to parliament and win the elections with the majority, change the laws of the white, and replace it with the African laws."
Nathi Nhleko, the MK national organiser, said it's a very progressive development. "We are seeing religious leaders, traditional healers, and traditional leaders in one common event which proves one thing. The existence of MK is a spiritual development amongst South Africans. I'm very happy about this event," he said.
Nhleko says he is confident that the activation of the powers of the universe and ancestors will do well for African people.
"Our campaign will get much stronger from this point to the next level."
He said that MK is targeting a two-thirds majority.
