AT the tender age of 25, Lordwick Kgatle’s story is one of resilience and triumph and the desire to overcome far greater than the odds stacked against him.

In the maiden episode of Turning Point, a podcast about stories of transformation and triumph, host Doreen Molefe speaks with Lordwick about how he went from rummaging through dustbins as a street waste collector to climbing the corporate ladder.

Now an operations manager at Jubilee Crossing in Hammanskraal, north of Tshwane, Lordwick says he does not want his past to define him.

As part of his hustle, Lordwick washed cars and worked as a barber to make ends meet. Today, he says he owes his success to his faith. Lordwick says his success is all for his newborn baby boy.

Catch the brand new episode of Turning Point every Wednesday, a podcast about transformation and triumph.
