Yeye's MTN8 throwback
As Kaizer Chiefs' trophy drought continues to its ninth year, as the last time they won a major title was in 2015, Yeye reminisced over Amakhosi's trophy-winning days under Stuart Baxter.
In the 2014/15 MTN8 final, a Soweto derby encounter between the Glamour Boys and Orlando Pirates, finished 1-0 to the men in yellow after then skipper, Tefu Mashamaite netted the winner through a header.
It was a successful campaign for the Glamour Boys, who went on to with the Absa Premiership that season. For Yeye, that period also represented the early days of his fatherhood.
"They grow up too fast," he captioned his Instagram post, showing a vid of him in the MTN8 trophy celebrations carrying his son Thato, whom he shares with sports presenter Mpho Maboi, while his daughter Keneilwe held his hand.
