Result: Crystal Palace 4-0 Manchester United

Date: 06 May 2024

Venue: Selhurst Park

The Red Devils were without captain Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire as Mason Mount and Jonny Evans were recalled, while Marcus Rashford and Scott McTominay missed out completely.

Palace got the opening goal in 12th minute when Michael Olise skipped past Casemiro and was given time and space to race towards the box before firing into the far corner.

The away side had the ball in the back of the net on 26 minutes when Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson deflected the ball into his own net, but the goal was ruled out for Rasmus Hojlund's foul.

Palace went on to double their lead five minutes before the halftime break when Jean-Phillipe Mateta drifted past Evans before rifling the ball beyond Andre Onana with a thunderous strike.

It got better for the home side in the second half as they grabbed a third goal in the 58th minute when Tyrick Mitchell got his name on the score-sheet

The fourth goal arrived in the 67th minute as Olise completed his brace with a powerful finish past after Casemiro was dispossessed by Daniel Muñoz who picked up the assist.

United had no response for the remainder of the second half as Palace saw out the rest of the game with relative ease to complete their first double over United in the Premier League.
