COMEDIAN Trevor Noah has been announced as the host for the 2022 Grammy Awards.
This will be the second time the Daily Show host is taking on this role, as he also hosted last year.
The news was announced on the TV show CBS Mornings by renowned journalist Gayle King.
Trevor was in studio with the show hosts when the announcement was made.
“So, we are very excited to make an exclusive announcement for you about music’s biggest night, the recording academy, the 64th annual Grammy Awards, only on CBS Mornings we can reveal that Trevor Noah, the Emmy Award-winning host of the Daily Show,. is returning to host the Grammys right here on CBS,” she said.

Trevor said he hopes the Grammys will have an audience this time, unlike last year.
“The Grammys are going to be back for 2022. Hopefully it’s going to be the full show, everybody is going to be there. We’re excited to celebrate a record night and I get to be the host,” he said.
Speaking about hosting last year, Trevor said: “It was fun, it was really fun. We had a great team. I was lucky to be a part of it. I guess we had such a good time. We were like imagine if we had people there, how much more fun would we have had.”
He also said he took the opportunity for the second time because it was important for him and he would give people moral support.
South African superstar Black Coffee is also nominated for a Grammy. He is nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album for his project, Subconsciously.
Global superstars such as Illenium, Major Lazer, Marshmello, Sylvan Esso and Ten City are also nominated.
