ACTRESS Nombulelo Mhlongo wants Mzansi to shine on the international stage once more.
The 31-year-old from Pongola, KZN has been nominated for the Scream All Youth Awards 2024, making it into the top 10 in the Youth Actress of the Year category.
She finds herself in esteemed company, alongside Yolanda from Big Brother Mzansi, as they compete against eight Nigerian actors.
The public's votes will finalise the nomination list by 30 April, with the awards' dates and venues to be announced later.
Traditionally held in Los Angeles, USA, the ceremony is broadcast live on Spike TV.
In 2023, Mhlongo proudly represented Mzansi in Zambia, winning Best Actress in South, Eastern Africa, and Best Actress in Africa at the Zikomo Africa Awards.

Having starred in several of Mzansi's leading productions, including Durban Gen, Uzalo, Skeem Saam, and Ifalakhe, Nombulelo is confident in the support of both local and international fans for her victory.
"I'm counting on the votes from my supporters to win," said Nombulelo.
She told Daily Sun her fans had never let her down.
Since her acting debut in 2015, Nombulelo caught the public's eye as nurse Sne Mtshali on Durban Gen until the show's cancellation by e.tv.
Her role as Nomcebo on Uzalo further cemented her status as a household name.
With Durban Gen's end in 2022, Nombulelo has shifted her focus to film and is involved in an upcoming project she chose not to disclose.
Currently, Nombulelo is dedicating her time to community development, collaborating with various departments and NPOs, and motivating students in schools.
"It's about making a real difference and inspiring the youth," she said.
