RADIO presenter Penny Ntuli has dumped Gagasi FM after the commercial radio station based in Durban allegedly told her she would be getting R2 800.
Penny joined Gagasi FM in 2022 after she posted an impressive video of her doing a radio presentation with the station.
As Gagasi FM was renewing its presenters' contracts for the new season, which starts in April, Penny didn't renew hers. She complained about the alleged peanuts she was going to earn at the end of the month.
Penny from Durban rushed to her Facebook page to express why she had dumped Gagasi FM as she was one of the station's favourite presenters.
She confirmed that she dumped the station, and said it was time to renew contracts and she was given an opportunity to come back in the upcoming season.
"I gladly accepted the new show until I was told I would be getting paid R2 800 per month, which is something not too far from what I was getting paid for the past two years.
"I felt embarrassed, but I calmed down and went back to management to ask them to review my salary. With that money, I won't be able to do anything," she said.

Penny, who presented the Saturday Show said she asked management about how she will support her family that relied on her.
"During negotiations, my manager suggested I consider other options than being on air, this also killed my confidence.
"I decided to ask them not to renew my contract this year. I didn't dump them because I have another offer, I didn't dump them because I don't like to work, those who know me, know how I love radio presenting and how much I love Gagasi FM. It's true that I'm not coming back this year and I thank them for the opportunity," she said.
Gagasi FM spokesman, Khulekani Shandu told Daily Sun the station has noted Penny's grievances.
"It's unfortunate that she decided to rush to social media. As the station, we won't comment at the moment because this matter is confidential, and it's between the employer and the employee.
"We'll reach out and talk to her," he said.
