FORMER police officer Caylene Whiteboy raised questions about the accuracy of the autopsy findings while being cross-examined at the Joburg High Court sitting in Palm Ridge on Friday, 3 May.
During the cross-examination by state prosecutor Advocate Johan Badenhorst in the murder trial of Nateniel Julies, it was stated that the postmortem results revealed that Nateniel had been shot with a firearm.
"The report shows features of Down syndrome shotgun pellet wounds to the chest and abdomen, and the doctor specifically refers to pellets," said Badenhorst.
Whiteboy questioned: "Yes, and how did the doctor see where all these pellets went because the body isn't cut open? I want to know why the left neck is bleeding."
Advocate Badenhorst accused Whiteboy of trying to divert the court's focus.
"You keep trying to fly in a direction, but we're not focusing on the question you had the opportunity to address. We heard about the double sealing of the bag," he said.

Whiteboy expressed her confusion, stating that the court was only considering one pellet shot.
"Why is the picture being painted to the court that it was only one shot, but there are two? That's why it's confusing for me," she said.
Badenhorst then asked Whiteboy if she believed in the saying that repeating a lie enough times could make it seem true.
Whiteboy responded: "No, I know you can't lie because if you lie, you forget your lie, then you must make up a better lie. If you speak the truth, you don't forget it."
Whiteboy and her co-accused are accused of shooting dead Nateniel in Eldorado Park, south of Joburg on 26 August 2020.
The trial was postponed to Monday, 20 May.
