ACTOR and musician Nqobani Zuke is roaring from Groutville to America to fulfill his biggest dream and inspire others.
The 29-year-old from Groutville, KZN, who has collaborated with the late Mbongeni Ngema, will star in the internationally acclaimed theatre musical, The Lion King.
He has secured a six-month contract with Disney World to join the main cast of The Lion King at Disneyland in America.
Speaking to Daily Sun, he shared that he will depart from Mzansi on Sunday, 19 May, make his debut in The Lion King on Monday, 20 May, and return to Mzansi after 9 November.
"I feel honoured to be part of the world's largest production, which all actors and musicians aspire to join. The timing is perfect, as I have ample experience to represent Mzansi well," he said.

Nqobani has previously worked with Mbongeni Ngema on Sarafina in 2022 and as a backing vocalist for Ngema's latest EP, Thina Banta’a Bamnyama.
He also led on Ngema’s song Sekunzimanyana, featured in the new EP released in 2023.
This will be his second international trip after participating in the Amawethu dance piece and as a musician in Brazil in 2023.
Nqobani aims to show the youth that the arts industry can provide a sustainable livelihood.
"In 2020, I studied music at the Ikabawo Performing Art Academy, founded by Mbongeni Ngema's nephew, Sabelo Ngema. Sabelo discovered and nurtured my talent, and I plan to return to Groutville to mentor others," he said.
He envisions writing his own theatre productions in the future.
