They were speaking at the Benoni Magistrates Court where the pastor of a well-known church in Daveyton made a brief appearance on Friday, 19 April.
The pastor was arrested on Wednesday, 28 February 2024 on three counts of sexual assault and was granted bail in the sum of R1 000.
The fourth case, which involves rape, was confirmed by Colonel Noxolo Khweza, the Gauteng police spokeswoman.

The suspect was supported in court by his family and some church elders were present.
Three of his victims spoke to Daily Sun and said they were very relieved.
One of the victims said: "They tried to bribe some of us to drop the charges, but this is the fight we have to win."
Gender activists were also at the court to support the victims.
Solomon Ashoms, a Christian activist, said he was dismayed by what was happening in the churches today.
"Churches have become dangerous places for women and children. Pastors are abusing their leadership position and must be held accountable," he said.
