RADIO host and DJ Tshepo Junior Makgopa's case has been postponed until Monday, 10 June.

This development follows the presenter's brief appearance in the Protea Magistrates Court in Soweto on Friday, 19 April.

This was his second appearance after the presenter made his first one on Wednesday, 20 March.

The magistrate announced the postponement, citing the need for further investigations.

In March, the presenter's case was delayed as the court awaited copies of documents from his representatives.

Tshepo faces charges of common assault. He's accused of assaulting his wife's friend, Rose Buthelezi.

Rose alleged that Tshepo assaulted her on Saturday, 27 January, while they were returning from an outing with his wife, Tshego.

Police spokeswoman Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi confirmed the presenter's matter is under investigation.

Tshepo is widely recognised for hosting the popular Sunday midday show, The Sunday Lunch With Tshepo Junior, which airs from noon to 3pm.
