PRESIDENT Cyril Ramaphosa has taken the election campaign trail to church.
Prophet Frans Marima said their church will host the president on Sunday, 10 March and the visit is part of the ANC's election campaign.
Party members will campaign in various areas in Vosloorus, Ekurhuleni including the Fire Tabernacle Prophetic Ministry under the leadership of Prophet Marima.
Prophet Marima said when political party leaders usually visit churches, they offer prayers and blessings.
“The election is a few months away, politicians need prayers and they seek divine protection from God,” he said.
He said the church received a call from the office of the president asking to come to church.

“To me it’s a favour from God to host the president. We never anticipated to be chosen as one of the churches to be visited by the honourable Ramaphosa.
“I consider this a blessing for our church as people will be able to hear what President Ramaphosa will share with them ahead of the elections in May."
ANC national spokeswoman, Mahlengi Bhengu-Motsiri confirmed Ramaphosa will visit Vosloorus.
"This engagement programme aims to galvanise communities ahead of the national and provincial elections," said Mahlengi.
